The FN QD556 is an innovative low backpressure forward-venting suppressor designed to enhance the performance of the next generation of SCAR® 16S series and other 5.56 caliber rifles by reducing recoil and gas blowback while maintaining accuracy. Testing with the FN SCAR 16S carbine resulted in less than 1 MOA of impact (POI) shift and sound suppression of 149 decibels with 5.56 (.223). This is innovative sound suppression and accuracy with legendary FN durability. The QD556 is 3D-printed from Inconel super alloy with a stainless-steel blast chamber and high temperature C-Series CERAKOTE. It is also tested to 10 000 rounds and full-auto certified exceeding the USSOCOM SURG requirements for durability and reliability under fully automatic fire.
